Don't wait for a seat.
Build the table.

Too many young voices get overlooked. YDN exists to change that, one leader at a time.

I co-founded the Young Adults Development Network (YDN) with Pastor Serge Kagabo, and I've been its Executive Director since March 2024. YDN is a youth-led, volunteer-run initiative that empowers young people through leadership development, education, civic engagement and community building. We focus on refugee, immigrant and underserved young people, while recognizing that meaningful youth development takes cooperation across many backgrounds.

The network grew from a simple desire: to create real opportunities for young people whose voices are often overlooked, so they can help shape their communities. My work includes shaping the vision, coordinating leadership, building partnerships and planning programs, and working toward a network that lasts.

I want YDN to become more than an organization that hosts events. I want it to become an institution that creates measurable opportunities and lasting community impact.

How YDN builds leaders

  • Leadership development. Training young people to lead, speak, organize and grow professionally.
  • Education and opportunity. Connecting young people with learning, mentors and resources that open doors.
  • Community building. Bringing young people together across backgrounds to serve the places they live.

Highlights

What we have done.

  • Washington, D.C. Leadership and Advocacy Conference. YDN's first conference in Washington took place in 2025, and it returned July 1 to 4, 2026, with training for young leaders.
  • A community that gives. Partners in Arizona hosted a conference and a soccer match that raised more than $8,000 for YDN's first trip to Washington.
  • Recognized for youth leadership. Stay Work Play New Hampshire named me its 2026 Young Person of the Year for my work with YDN and young people.

Train with YDN.

YDN is my primary partner for trainings: leadership development, advocacy and the Washington, D.C. conference.

My letters

Read it first.

I write when there's something worth your time: book news before anyone else hears it, where I'm speaking next, and stories from the young people I work with. No noise.
