LEADERSHIP THAT LISTENS.
ACTION THAT LASTS.

Concord stands at a crossroads. We can allow divisions to grow, or we can choose unity, fairness, and shared opportunity. I am running for City Council because leadership is not about titles; it is about listening, learning, and taking action. Concord has been my home for the past 8 years. As someone who came here as a refugee, I know the challenges families face. I also know the strength of this community when we work together.

My Journey

and Purpose

I am Fisto Ndayishimiye. My life is shaped by the challenges of displacement and the strength of community. Arriving in Concord as a refugee, I quickly learned the challenges of starting over, finding employment, accessing services, and establishing a sense of belonging. These experiences gave me the determination to ensure others never walk alone on that journey.

Over the years, I have mentored youth, partnered with faith and community organizations, and spoken on platforms that call for justice and opportunity. I believe leadership means meeting people where they are, listening deeply, and taking action that creates real, lasting change. My story is proof that no matter where you begin, service and courage can carry you to a place where you can uplift others.

Why I am Running for Office

Fisto Ndayishimiye, Candidate for Concord City Council - At-Large
A Purpose to Serve, A Vision for Concord

I am a survivor of war and a refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo. I came to this country with my younger brother, leaving behind home, relatives, and everything familiar. The war took many I loved and forced me to grow up in hardship. Where I came from, peace and opportunity were not common; survival was the only dream. Coming to America gave me something new: the freedom to build, to serve, and to turn loss into purpose. Running for City Council is not politics for me; it is a calling to lead with compassion and help build a city where everyone belongs and thrives.

Concord stands at a crossroads. Families work hard yet struggle with housing, opportunity, and stability. Leadership must listen, understand, and act with empathy and vision. Public service is not about power but responsibility. A strong city is measured by how it treats the least, educates its children, and plans for the future.

Every person deserves a stable home. Concord lacks a consistent plan for developers. With better partnerships and strategy, we can attract responsible investments that expand our tax base, create jobs, and ease the burden on homeowners. Smarter development means lower taxes, stronger neighborhoods, and shared growth.

Our youth are Concord’s heart. I will form a Youth Advisory Council, expand after-school programs, and build mentorships connecting education to careers. I will strengthen small businesses, expand transportation, improve sidewalks, and invest in clean, accessible neighborhoods.

This election is not about left or right, it’s about moving forward together.

Thank you.
