Building Safety and Stewardship in Concord
Community Safety, Clarity & Shared Understanding
Thank you for visiting this space. I created this website to bring clarity, truth, and transparency to an issue that has raised real questions in our community. Over the past several months, I toured the current police facility, reviewed official documents, studied independent reporting, listened to many voices, and reflected deeply on what safety, dignity, and long-term responsibility truly mean.
My goal is simple:
To give every resident clear, human-centered information so our community can reflect, understand, and make informed decisions grounded in facts and lived reality.

Executive Summary (Brief Overview)
What the Data Shows
Aging Facility
The current police building is nearly 50 years old, about 21,000 sq ft, and was never designed for modern staffing, equipment, or safety needs.

Growing Community
Since the 1970s, Concord has added almost 14,000 residents, and calls for service have grown by 112%.

Rising Building Costs
National construction inflation remains high:
• 12% in 2022
• 5.4% in 2023
• projected 4-5% in 2024-2025

This impacts all public projects, not just this one.
Financial Reality
Independent reporting confirms that delaying major construction typically results in higher long-term costs.

These facts reflect reality.
Why This Matters
Our community is trying to balance safety, affordability, growth, trust, and long-term responsibility. Many residents feel the weight of taxes. Others feel the weight of safety concerns. Many feel both at the same time.
After reviewing the information, listening to community voices, and reflecting deeply on what long-term safety and responsibility mean for our city, I have reached a clear conclusion about this project. I believe it is important to move forward in a way that reflects both urgency and accountability. In my view, the next steps must balance progress with disciplined cost management, ensuring that our community’s long-term needs are met responsibly and transparently.
My perspective comes from lived experience and years of learning what trust, safety, and partnership mean in real life. Because of that, I felt responsible for speaking openly about what I’ve seen, what I’ve learned, and how I’ve reached the place I stand today.
What I’m sharing here is not a demand; it is an open reflection. It is meant to bring our community together, not divide it. My hope is that this brief statement helps people see the full picture, ask honest questions, and make decisions with a clear understanding of both the facts and the human realities that shape this moment.
